Our practice is located in Virginia Beach and also serves patients in Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, and North Carolina. DIGITAL X-RAY
Rather than using cumbersome film, we use a digital sensor to take X-rays of your mouth. This sensor uses significantly less radiation to produce highly detailed images that are transferred instantly to our computer screens. From there we can magnify, rotate, and color code each X-ray to best explain the issues behind your dental health.
INTRA-ORAL CAMERAS
A picture is worth a thousand words – especially when it comes to your dental health! To aid in diagnoses and record keeping, we use hand held cameras to take magnified and detailed photos of your mouth, which can be displayed on our computer screens and TV monitors so you can see what our doctors are seeing.
TV MONITORS
Every examination room comes equipped with two television monitors, which can instantly show you images of your teeth and gums. This enables us to show you broken fillings, cracks in the teeth, inflammation due to gingivitis, bacterial infection, etc.
DIGITAL PANOREX
This state of the art digital xray unit can take a full jaw scan which produces a full detailed image of your entire mouth. It acts as an additional tool for your continued oral health care by showing us areas of your mouth and dentition a regular X-ray would not.
LOGICON DECAY DETECTOR
This software, developed by a NASA physicist, is used in conjunction with our digital xrays. It shows tooth decay which is penetrating the interior of the tooth. The value of this is that we can detect cavities earlier, and do less invasive procedures, which helps preserve sound tooth structure.
COSMETIC DENTAL IMAGING
By using a digital camera we are able to take pictures of your smile, and with a special software can create the ideal smile by using the newest types of metal free ceramic crowns and veneers.
